What about all the cases of the Virgin Mary appearing to people in power? Plus, didn’t the emperor Constantine see the letters “Chi Rho”? That’s not the same as seeing Jesus. Also, wasn’t it the angle Gabriel who appeared to Muhammad? Also, Muhammad wasn’t powerful until he received his violent instructions from Gabriel. What about Muckmoood Ackmudinajud? He claims that it’s the 12th Imam, the “Hidding Imam” who looks over Iran, that’s not the same as Jesus.

Exactly! I don’t think everyone who claims to see Jesus really sees him.. At least not those condoning brutal killing. When Jesus came, his focus was love, forgiveness, and repentance. He already knew are talents in war. He was not interested in that. His interests in salvation for all mankind. It’s soooooooooo sad that people find that concept so hard to grasp when toddlers can understand it.

I do believe there have been miracles, revelations and visions had. I just don’t believe they inspire criminal acts of torture or mass murder. You can’t tell me Jesus Christ appeared to Jim Jones when he led all those people to drink poisoned grape juice. However, I wouldn’t doubt it if Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Theresa or Mahatma Ghandi said they saw God. I would find it more likely that they would be gifted with visions and insight into God’s Love. They led people to love, peace and unity. Didn’t Jesus say something like woe to the false prophets? Doesn’t he say he hates hypocrites? And also something like, if you lead the people to fall you are worse then they are for falling?
